This stone feels very soft and smooth, it's the softest natural stone I've tried. If I have to say, it might even be softer than some of the synthetic stones I have. Therefore, this hardness characteristic makes it the perfect stone for beginner or convex bevel polishing, while I prefer a harder stone for sharpening/finishing bevels on, this stone is a good stepping stone/bridge stone in between synthetic and natural or courser natural stones and finer stones.

  • Characteristic of the stone (on a scale of 5)

Hardness - 3

Fineness - 3.5

Speed - 4.5
